Step 1: Prepare and Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Face Mask: Use a mask if cleaning involves strong chemicals or if the area is poorly ventilated.

Step 2: Gather Cleaning Supplies

• Approved disinfectants and cleaners
• Microfiber cloths
• Mop and bucket
• Toilet brush
• Trash bags
• Broom and dustpan
• Paper towels or cloth towels
• Glass cleaner

Step 3: Remove Trash and Restock Supplies

• Start by emptying all trash bins.
• Clean the exterior of trash cans before replacing liners.
• Replace liners with new bags.
• Check and restock all soaps, hand towels, and toilet paper. Ensure these items are fully stocked to avoid customer complaints.

Step 4: Dust High and Low Working Clockwise

• Dust all surfaces, including vents, light fixtures, partitions, and dispensers. Also, dust baseboards and corners.
• Work from high to low to avoid placing dust on cleaned surfaces or mopped floors.

Step 5: Clean and Disinfect Toilets and Urinals

• Apply toilet bowl cleaner to the inside of the bowls and allow it to sit.
• Clean and disinfect other surfaces while the cleaner works.
• Return to scrub the toilet bowl and urinals with a toilet brush. Replace odor cakes in urinals if needed.
• Wipe down the exterior of toilets, including the base, handle, and exterior of the bowl, with disinfectant. Clean the underside of urinals and all partitions or dividers.

Step 6: Clean Sinks and Countertops

• Apply disinfectant cleaner to sinks and countertops.
• Scrub sinks thoroughly, paying attention to faucets, handles, and around the drain to remove water buildup and deposits.

Step 7: Clean Mirrors and Glass

• Spray glass cleaner on mirrors and glass surfaces.
• Wipe down with a lint-free cloth to ensure a streak-free finish.

Step 8: Clean High-Touch Areas

• Disinfect doorknobs, light switches, hand dryers, and paper towel dispensers.
• Spot clean walls to remove fingerprints and smudges.
• Clean window ledges, tile, and other high-touch surfaces.

Step 9: Sweep and Mop the Floor

• Sweep all corners and collect debris before mopping, focusing on corners and edges.
• Place caution or wet floor signs at the entrance to prevent accidents.
• Prepare a mop bucket with the appropriate floor cleaner and water.
• Mop the floor, starting from the farthest corner and working towards the exit.
• Allow the floor to dry completely.

Step 10: Final Inspection

• Ensure all areas are clean and free of debris.
• Check for any spots that might need a touch-up.
• Dispose of used PPE and wash hands thoroughly.
